Coating Polymer
VIVAPHARM® HPMC, hypromellose, is a cellulose-based polymer for film coating, wet granulation, and hard capsule manufacturing. It is practically insoluble in hot water, acetone, anhydrous ethanol, and toluene and dissolves in cold water, resulting in a colloidal solution. VIVAPHARM® HPMC is E type 2910, meaning that its average content of methoxyl groups is 29% and its average content of hydroxypropyl groups is 10%. The JRS Pharma hypromellose product line includes a variety of E grades ranging from low to high viscosity.
